Sony Offers Two Free Months to Former Everquest Fans

Fob_large How does Sony Online Entertainment plan to counter the widespread success of Age of Conan's recent launch? By offering former Everquest and Everquest 2 players almost two free months of play time in either game.

The program, dubbed "Living Legacy" by SOE, allows all previous players of either game (including those who only used trial accounts) to log in free of charge until the end of July (July 25 for Everquest, July 31 for EQ2, to be specific).

To sweeten the deal even further, SOE is giving returning Everquest players the content found in EQ expansion Secrets of Faydwer free of charge, while EQ2 fans will get to experience the Rise of Kunark add-on. Both games will also grant players a "unique bundle of new in-game items" just for logging back in.
